Personnel Production Criticals
Commercial pool plastering is a process where production time is critical to product quality. New plaster needs to be underwater shortly after installation in order to hydrate or fully develop the crystalline structure of the cement. Fully crystalized or cured cement becomes a denser watertight more resilient product, enhancing the long term performance of the product. Hence it becomes a quality advantage for our company to install the new plaster precisely yet quickly with larger more experienced crews and refill the pools completely with water in 48 hours to the benefit of the new pool finish.
For example, on an 8 lane 50 meter competition swimming pool Pool Surfaces Carolinas would use three plaster pump trucks and 20 individual skilled finishers for the proper installation of approximately 50,000 lbs of plaster in one day. Not all plaster jobs are this demanding, but our capacity to handle the larger projects will result in a higher quality finished interior. Pool plaster finishing is and will continue to be an art where apprenticeship and internal company training plays a very key role in our company’s growth and capabilities. Pool Surfaces Carolinas has proudly retained over 85% of its employees over tracking the last 12 years. This is the mark of a good company, and our workmanship shows because of these valued employees.
